As well as acting for developers, the firm also acts for landowners who may be approached by developers to enter into option agreements, or sales agreements, where the price is determined in whole or in part by how much profit the developer makes.
Whilst developers are often experienced with these types of agreement, many landowners are not and without appropriate advice they may find that they have allowed their land to be tied up for too long, sold at an undervalue or allowed the developer to develop the road frontage, leaving them with an inaccessible hinterland.
