It is no longer possible to create Enduring Powers of Attorney but documents completed before 1 October 2007 remain valid and Attorneys may well need legal assistance for many years to come e.g. with registration with the Court and the making of tax efficient wills through the Court.

Lasting Powers of Attorney are now the vehicle for ensuring that financial, property and healthcare decisions can be taken by trusted relatives, friends or professionals in the event of incapacity.
