e-commerce training – managing the legal risks

If you are selling online then you need to be aware of the laws that apply to your e-commerce business. A survey by the Office of Fair Trading found that many online businesses did not know their legal obligations. The penalties for not complying with the law can be severe. The Director General of Fair Trading has the power to impose fines on non-compliant websites or even close them down.

This training course on 24 February 2009 is for anyone planning an online business, already trading online and for web designers. Every online trader needs to understand their legal responsibilities and web designers should understand best practice to use when developing e‑commerce websites.

The workshop will take place at Hotel 53, Piccadilly, York from 10 am to 3 pm. There will be relevant case studies and plenty of opportunities for open discussion among delegates. The cost of the training course is £100+VAT, with a special reduced price for new businesses trading less than 12 months of £75+VAT. Included are course materials, lunch and refreshments. Places are limited so early booking is advised.
