Fixed Charge/Law of Property Act ("LPA") Receivership
Receivers usually appointed by lending institution under a fixed charge (where there is not a debenture or floating charge). More restricted powers than Administrative Receivers.
Scheme of Arrangement
Rarely used compromise agreed with creditors of a company under Section 425 of the Companies Act 1985, largely superseded by CVA.
Informal Arrangement with Creditors
Simple contractual deal agreed with creditors by a company or individual.
Avoids publicity and can reduce costs, becoming more popular.
